sTabLauncher

Sometimes you have to navigate through a thick layer of folders to access a document or application. Creating too many shortcuts will leave you with a crowded desktop which will make your work uncomfortable. sTabLauncher provides you with a fast and handy way to launch applications, web pages, access folders and more. It lets you create shortcuts and organize them on different tabs which you may customize.

sTabLauncher can work with .NET Framework 2.0, so it is not too demanding when it comes to system requirements. The application is free and its small setup file allows for a fast installation process.

Launching sTabLauncher will place two colored tabs on the top edge of the screen. You can expand these tabs and switch between them by hovering your mouse cursor over them. Once expanded, they will reveal shortcuts for applications, documents and others.

By default, the program will place two navigation tabs with only a few shortcuts, but you may create new tabs and shortcuts. Tabs can be created in sTabLauncher's options panel, which can be accessed with a context menu option, after right clicking one of the tabs. There are multiple sections in the options window and you can use these to create new tabs, change their shapes, colors, fonts and more.

Shortcuts are created in a different window, which can be accessed from the same context menu. With the options found in this window, you can specify the path of an application's .exe file, select an icon for the shortcut, name it, make font related settings and more. You can also associate shortcuts with hot keys for playback options in the same window. Shortcut keys and functions such as Play, Pause and other similar ones can be selected under a tab in the upper right area of the window.

When you are done with the settings, a new icon will be placed on one of the tabs. Shortcuts can be moved to different tabs by dragging and dropping them. Clicking one of them will launch the associated application immediately. sTabLauncher will run in the background, without displaying a system tray icon. If you have low grade hardware, there is no need to concern yourself about resources. Your computer will still work fine while the application is running.
